This Month on the Ranch - October 2022

November Metro Board Meeting

The Willow Brook Metro District, which maintains all of the infrastructure on Ruby Ranch, will hold arguably its most important meeting of the year on the third Friday of November at 3:00 PM, Friday, November 18. The October 21 meeting is cancelled. This will allow the Board to incorporate the election results. The Board will adopt draft budgets for next fiscal year, which is Calendar, 2023. Three budgets will be proposed, including budgets for the General Fund, the Water Fund and the Capital Projects fund. These budgets will not include monies for projects proposed on the November ballot having to do with Ranch signage, trash and mail delivery, but they will touch upon all other Ranch functions, working within the tax levels previously authorized by voters on the Ranch.

In addition to establishing funding priorities, there will be updates on important projects such as the drilling of the replacement for water Well 1.

Regarding the election, the Tabor Notice will be mailed to all registered voters, with ballots sent to eligible electors the week of October 17th.   Election Day is November 8th.  All ballots must be received by the DEO no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

As always, notice of the meeting will be posted on rr-general days in advance of the meeting time. The meeting can be attended in person at the Gatehouse or online via Zoom.
